•Health care employee opinion survey to be conducted

SAHO, on behalf of its members, has issued a Request for Proposals to secure a supplier for an employee opinion survey to be conducted in the health regions. The last comprehensive health care employee opinion survey was conducted in 2005, when over 40 per cent of employees responded, providing employers with valuable information to develop and implement a variety of initiatives across the province.

• Workplace Health & Safety Services Discontinued
Effective March 31, 2010, SAHO no longer provides workplace health & safety consultation services to its members. Direct funding from Saskatchewan Workers’ Compensation Board for these services has been discontinued and a new independent provincial safety association is being developed.  SAHO continues, however, to offer its three injury prevention programs, Transferring Lifting Repositioning (TLR®) Program, Professional Assault Response Training (PART) and Safe Moving and Repositioning Techniques (SMART).  More info
