SAHO still offers TLR, PART, SMART
SAHO continues to provide its
Transferring Lifting Repositioning (TLR ®) Program,
which teaches health care workers to safely transfer, lift and reposition clients. SAHO piloted the program in 1997, and since then, TLR training has been provided to more than a third of the province’s 40,000 health care employees. More than 700 TLR trainers have been certified to deliver the program across the province.
SAHO remains the exclusive Canadian provider of
Professional Assault Response Training (PART),
a program that teaches workers how to understand and respond to aggressive behaviour.
Safe Moving and Repositioning Techniques (SMART)
, a program SAHO developed for workers who perform manual moving and lifting of objects.
